Fed: Gibson to open NIDA theatre after donating almost $2million
Actor MEL GIBSON has visited students and teachers at the Sydney drama school thathelped him become one of the world's leading actors.
GIBSON has toured NIDA -- the National Institute of Dramatic Arts -- ahead of the launchtonight of a new theatre partly funded by his donation of nearly $2 million.
Before today's visit -- GIBSON said going back to NIDA would be like returning to wherehe was born.
The actor graduated from NIDA in 1977 -- in the same class as JUDY DAVIS and STEVE BISLEY.
