Qld: Three die in single vehicle accident
Three people have died in a single vehicle accident near Gladstone, 500 kilometres
north of Brisbane.
Police believe a van rolled on the Bruce Highway shortly after 7am (AEST), killing
one adult female and two children.
Police say an adult male and possibly two other children have been taken to Gladstone
Hospital for treatment.
The accident took place 500 metres north of the Calliope cross roads near the central
Queensland town.
Queensland's holiday road toll now stands at 14.
Emergency crews are still at the scene and police expect the Bruce Highway to be closed
until this afternoon.
